Rift PTS datamining – Fae Yule 2020

The first patch for Fae Yule 2020 has arrived on Rift’s PTS server. There are 3 new mounts, some new cosmetics for the back, and, oh yeah, a whole new world event!? huh. Let’s dive in!

New Mounts

3 new mounts have arrived with this patch. One of which is a new levitation mount called “Ghostly Levitation”. In addition, there are new “Astral Wings” and a new Yak mount that doesn’t have a name yet.

In addition, it is likely that the white areas of the wings will be filled in with the following texture (in a similar fashion to the Aurora horse mount).

New Back cosmetics

New Cape, Backpack, and Wings. The new wings share a model with the Astral Wings mount shown above.

New Minion cards (Text only)

We have 2 new Minion cards, and an achievement to get each one to level 15.

  • Mr. Quackers
  • Leah the Cool

New Achievements:
Winter Spirit – Collect Mr. Quackers and Leah the Cool minion cards.
A Quick Nap – Train Mr. Quackers and Leah the Cool minions up to level 15.

New Companion pets (Text only)

10 new companion pets. Names listed below.

  • Sleet
  • Flurry
  • Glacier
  • Tundra
  • Rime
  • Avalanche
  • Powder
  • Slush
  • Yaki

Incursion of Flame World Event

The big new thing this PTS patch is the reveal of the “Incursion of Flame” world event. Details are still scarce, but it is likely this involves the new floating island in Planetouched Wilds.

The world event reads “With the Defiant and Guardian armies busy on Ahnket the Shields of Telara stand tall against the incursions of the Planes. They need your help with an Incursion from the Plane of Fire.”

Rewards for this event seem to include the following:

  • Fire Cloak of the Wise Champion
  • Fire Cloak of the Brute Champion
  • Fire Cloak of the Deft Champion
  • Fire Cloak of the Cunning Champion
